I actually keep mine in a plano box. It's a bulky and rather large solution if your short on space but I prefer it to baggies and I can store the overlord cards and extra tokens in it as well. But unless you have the first edition it won't fit back in the game box so definitely not if you're looking to save space. For ease of setup though I find it great.
(Note that my cards aren't sleeved but I think you could still fit everything except maybe the larger ones, like the OL and travel cards, in which case you could just use the extra space for tokens or miniatures).

I found this case at a hardware store. I took out some of the little storage cubes and it turns out that they are the perfect fit for cards and components from Descent. Enjoy.

Santa Mailman dropped off some boxes from CoolStuffInc and Auggies today.

Almost all of the monster groups are covered in a single order! Although Auggies accidentally sent me a set of Trolls in place of my Earth Elementals for the Golum, so I'll have to see what can be done about that, or just re-order with my next bactch!

I will update with links to the mini later tonight, but here's the pics so far. I plopped the Champion mini from The Lair of the Wyrm for size comparison sake - and I still need to get some bases to get everything in order.

*Apologize for the pic quality, All I've got is an iPhone.

eep this is much blurrier than it lookd on my phone. Sorry :(

Still missing one Chaos Beast. Each store only had one in stock so I have to find a 3rd somewhere else :(

even when I ordered it, these were my least favorite proxy. It is pretty awful but it filled the undead role and numbers needed for next to nothing $ wise. Gotta use my imagination on these!

Yes, not traditional Kobolds, but I actually kind of like using these in place, and they do resemble the features on the card well.

:( wrong guys sent. I might figure out a way to use these guys in case I can't swap them out - maybe as Master minis for the Troll.

Contemplating removing the wings for the wyrm look - also need to fix da base

These are my favorite proxies without a doubt.

Everyone say cheese! Skeleton is for the Necromancer familiar token. Metal guy is just a test proxy I bought to see how he sized up.

Everyone say cheese!

Page 9 in rules shows Grisban doing it. Then the FAQ update says NO. So confused.

Which FAQ question are you referring to? If you're mean this one:
[q=FAQ]Q: Are spaces that are separated by a wall (edge of a map tile) adjacent to each other?
A: No, spaces that are separated by a wall (the black edge of a map tile) are not adjacent nor are they in line of sight to each other. Although the two spaces technically share a corner, the wall blocks both movement and line of sight between the two spaces on either side.
This FAQ question only pertains to two spaces that are separated by a shared, common wall ... not spaces that are diagonal to each other.

When a player can do more than one thing off the same trigger then unless a rule states that one of them must go first then I think the player should be allowed to do them in either order.

This allows: Blood Rage -> Die -> Reinforce
It also allows: Dead -> Reinforce -> Blood Rage
For completeness: Blood Rage -> Die -> Reinforce -> 2nd Blood Rage is not possible because you cannot play duplicate cards for the same trigger.

Tangentially, IMHO the Golden Rule only has effect when there is a timing conflict that makes it necessary. For instance if 2 players each want their own ability to trigger before the others', that needs the Golden Rule. But if the OL wants to play a Tripwire and then a Pit Trap the Golden Rule is not applicable.

I wish there were mini card deckboxes like standard card deckboxes...
Perhaps will FFG or other producers make a move in that direction ?

Robin, Last night I was looking at those Ultra Pro Side Loading Deck boxes. Looks like they might hold them well. The Sleeved MINIs are the same dimensions as the bottom of the normal Deck Boxes. So the side loading boxes should hold them vertically. I'm gonna pick some up at lunch to see how they fit.. I'll report back.

The 200 ct hard plastic ultra pro boxes hold mini cards pretty much exactly, on their sides, as a mini card is the same width as a stack of 200 regular cards, and the same height as the width of a regular card.

I use this to store the mini cards from Rune Wars, and one box holds all of them and is just about full (that's a lot of cards!) In other games, where there is less cards, I use a piece of folded over foam from the back of a Spartan Games miniature (any sheet of foam will do, of course) to fill the empty space. Folded over foam tries to get back to flat and exerts a little pressure to the cards, which is just what you want.

Hey Robert, I believe I tried those, and they'd work perfectly if the MINIs weren't sleeved. Are yours unsleeved?

Or did I try the 100+ count Ultra pro hard plastic boxes.. hmmmm.

I am about to buy a copy of this nice game from a friend. His copy is from the first print, but I am aware of the fact, that meanwhile there is a second print available. So my question is:

Are there any notable differences between the first and the second print of this game?

Please note, that I don't refer to Descent 1st and 2nd edition, but to Descent 2nd edition first print, and Descent 2nd edition second print, especially the german version.

I am interested is such details as:

- Corrected card texts,
- clarified paragraphs in the rules,
- adjusted numbers of game material,
- etc.

I don't need every single detail, just the info, IF there are any such notions existent, so that I should better buy a copy of the second print to avoid inconveniance, or if first and second print are essentially the same, so I could do my friend a favor a buy his copy.

And about the Geomancer ability? Maybe I was being a little too vague, but I thought that maybe it was a common question (altough I couldn't find any answer in the forum)

It says that at the cost of one action, you can summon a stone within 3 squares of your position, and that as long as this card remained engaged, your stone can attack.

My question is, can I choose not to refresh said card, and keep it engaged?

Each time you use the card you may attack with ONE summoned stone that turn.

You may remove any of your summoned stones at any time, as well as removing one at the same time you cast the spell (to place one) as per the rulebook in lair of the wyrm.

When you have muntiple summoning stones, they may all move during a turn, but only one can attack, and only if you cast the spell. Note that the one that attacks does not have to be the one you summon.

The reason for this is so that you have to pay a fatigue and and action to allow your stones to attack

Can anyone tell me if there was ever an agreement on how long encounter 1 lasts?

Is it 10 turns flat with removed boulders never coming back, or is it 10 boulders on the map with removed ones being replaced turn by turn?

@Mark
I used to store mine in zip lock bags inside a plano case. When I got fed up with that I decided to design something 3d printable to fix that problem... I might have over engineered that a little

I have it preordered, and it is not yet there. It is listed for 8th of July, so I guess you have to wait two more weeks. And then you would need someone who has both to be able to compare...

I hadn't realized that there was already a second print of the rules/quest guide for either version yet.

There are two editions of the game itself, first edition and second edition, and those two are totally different.

Because of this, it's hard to tell if you're asking about a difference in rulebook printing or a difference in the editions.

The OP pretty explicitly and clearly noted that he is not talking about first edition vs. second edition, but rather the first and second printing of second edition (specifically the German printing).
